095 Palm II Rattle - How fun this was to make! These petite percussion instruments come with their own seeds inside to create their soft sounds. They are soft on the hand & very lightweight. They can be used alone or to accompany other percussion such as Ipu Heke drums. They are made of a “people” gourd - named because this type is frequently used to create Kachinas or other art dolls. Here I have taken a broadleaf palm motif that I pyro-etched, painted, & dyed on the gourd. It is completed with an emerald green, wooden ball handle. Dimensions: 12 x 3” weight 7 oz.
